I believe our first go at making a music video went well. The fact we were required to copy the conventions of Katy B's music video to 'Louder', proved to be quite difficult at first but I think it benefited our group in the long run! Katy would do things like move papers and pick up cups of tea from behind the counter, although these are minor things they made all the difference. I would not have personally thought to do that, but when watching the whole of our prelim, it made the video more visually pleasing as the focus was not always on the artist and it gives audiences less chance to become bored. We also used slow motion through editing on Final Cut Pro, slow motion is a key feature in many different types of music videos, so this too made for better viewing.
Our feedback was good, people said they enjoyed watching it. It was a fast paced song so we used fast paced cuts, we could have used plenty more base tracks, as we are aware of this we will make sure to use lots and lots of base tracks in our real music video.
