Filming 1: Traivon Review

My Review of Today's Filming:

Today we manage to get a a large amount of successful base tracks recorded. Personally i feel that we worked very well as a group which is why the shoot was very successful we listened to each others ideas carefully and although we didn't always agree we found common ground. With the quality and the quantity of shots we have at today i think we could create an extra ordinary music video and today is our first day of filming, i am very excited to film the next few locations.We opted not to use the tripod on this shot because we wanted to be more realistic and not still and formal; so we had a lot of camera movement, shaking of the camera and zooms.The performance of the song was also delivered very well by Stephane it was his first time performing the song and he had managed to memorised most if not all the words which made it a very quick process during the filming stages.

Filming: Day 1

Filming Day 1:Old street & Shoreditch

Today we begun filming we had planned to go to Shoreditch and film under the arches for a dark and eerie feel.We all met at Angel station got on the bus to old street and walked to Shoreditch. Whilst on our way to Shoreditch we found a location in Old street underneath a tower block which was dingy and we all agreed it was perfect for out video.At the first shoot in Old street we didn't uncover any problems and managed for film about 8 different base tracks in this location we found this to be a very successful shoot.

When we got to Shoreditch we actually changed our mind about the location which we were going to film we decided instead of the arches to use Shoreditch Church because of the large coloums and dingy bars surround it ,we also used the large doors and low angle lighting to project Sparkz's shadow on to the large doors.

Skills development: AS-A2

I feel like this year the planning stage of our production has gone much better.This is because our group is great at communicating and we are very accepting of each others ideas.In comparison to last year where my group and i had conflicting ideas right up until the last moment which made it particularly hard to actually come up with an action plan of what we were going to do.Although it may be that we all realise now because we are in our second year what is expected of us in terms of planning so we are trying to do better than last year.I also think another main difference between this year and last year is that it feels alot more independent because we have already completed one coursework unit.Last year i felt i was just completing a load of tasks in order to get a grade or just to do work this year i am seeing what the research and planning actually does when planning a production.
