Outfits I Plan On Using

These are the outfits I plan on making Stephane wear, it is simple yet effective. The mise en scene (outfit) matches the genre of my music video, underground rap artist often wear tracksuits, and i also like the colour of the tracksuit as it is dark and I plan on using greys and blacks for my DigiPak.

Which Picture To Use For My Album Cover

Here's a little vlog asking my peers about my DigiPak. I was wondering what image of Stephane to use on my front cover, asking for my peers advice really benefited me as I really was confused. I decided to use my original image as he is looking directly into the camera, as he is not a recognisable artist, his face needs to be prominent within the album cover.

EDITING PROCESS

I have found the editing process quite hard but I have managed to learn how to use it efficiently. I learnt how to mark (crop people out) using photoshop. I also have made the back round black and put images such as the smoke onto my digipak. My peers liked the smoke as did I, this is why I decided to keep it,  I rubbed out some of the smoke to make it not look so blocky.

Fonts on Photoshop

I plan on using a kind of electric looking font, almost scientific looking, as one of Sparkz songs is named HG, which refers to the periodic table within science so it all ties in.

I plan on using this font, which is called 'slant'.

I also plan on using this font, which is called ' Vermin vibes 2 White'.

I may use this font ' Sixs and Sevens'.

Lastly I plan to maybe use this font, 'Respire'

I know I want my lay out for my front cover is a central image of my artist, and I plan to do it all in black in white so I have a persistent theme throughout.

Ideas For Album Cover

Here are the images that I am thinking about using, these are shots we took whilst filming video. I thought I would have had to take other images but these images may suffice. I am planning to take more photographs

Mini Pitch

Who watched my pitch: Dan :)

Dan said he likes my concept, he also told me to show Stephane's face as he is a new artist.
He also likes the concept of the HG, for the back round, he likes the barcode and parental advisory.

Extra comments-
Mary: don't use the back of his head because he is a brand new artist. Would be okay if Sparkz was already established.
Missing- legal, copyright, website, record company logo (all of which would appear on the back)
Need a product number on the spine, (e.g. 1002)- choose appropriate number of records that record label has released.

As a result of these comments I will take a face forward photograph of my artist Sparkz (Stephane), because he is not an established artist.

How Am I Finding The Ancillary Process So Far?

I am finding it challenging, as I am not too good with using technologies such as using Photoshop. The fact you must edit using layers is rather difficult, and even putting the original image itself onto Photoshop proved to be challenging. I need to learn how to use Photoshop efficiently as I want my Digipak and advert to be of good quality. I will not allow my images to be pixilated and they will be cut out properly. I will make sure my font also matches the artist and song choice.

How to overcome these issues:
  • Attend workshops
  • Learn how to layer
  • Duplicate images
  • Colour correct
